NIGERIA @ 54

Yeah, you would definitely say this boy is back again. You would definitely be of the opinion that Kayode David Oluwaseun K-udz should just shut up and get something doing, instead of coming every year to publish independence messages. Oh Yeah!!.

Well, its another October 1st, another birthday of Nigeria, my country, your country, OUR country. We have survived well as one indivisible country. That is worth thanking God for.

Hmmmn, the journey so far to say the truth has being rough, it hasn’t been smooth at all, I wouldn’t say much about that because I am trying to make this as concise as possible. But, we sure do know everything happening in this country presently, we know the travails and ups/downs we are encountering. Well, Nigeria is a country where the masses work for the rich to eat. It is a country where the monkeys(non-ebola infected) keep suffering and the baboons keeps on gyrating in the proceeds. Would we say the reason why all of this is happening is that the colonialists who created this country created it for business purposes and not because we all want to be together??

Every month, tax clearances are issued to workers as evidence of making tax payments. I would ask people, “are you happy paying taxes?” and they would answer with a big, “NO!!”. A country where its citizens are not happy to be citizens.

Well, courage is the word. We have inborn leaders who were born and they went to the grave with their God-given gifts to lead this nation just because they were unable to stand up and take charge. No one is ready to stand and face those tyrants in government houses. Well, how would I blame them, when political parties in Nigeria priced their Nominations and Expression of interests forms for as high as a whooping N27,000,000. So, tell me, where would the common man who can be the president of Nigeria, or the youth who can cause giant strides in leadership roles get to see that kind of money???

Well, its already a done deal, only those who have stolen money from the government’s purse can pour that kind of amount willingly in order for them to steal more…

They say misery doesn’t only kills the body, it kills the spirit also. We cant afford to be miserable anymore. We just have to make it physical, and not only through social media and through grumblings and complains. Lets take it out against them through rallies, campaigns, protests, and through contesting leadership offices. If you can be a leader, then why don’t you try out. Sometimes for you to effect a CHANGE, you need POWER!

Finally, I celebrate my country Nigeria at 54 and I am ready to make it a Nation that it is meant to be. I am ready to take it upon myself to make Nigeria a better place for me and you. Are you ready too???
